It's time for another long extended blog break.
I just need to take a break from rifling through so many images. Having a blog is quite time consuming and since I already have my gluten-free blog, I don't know if having another "hobby" blog is what I want right now.
I like it but it's the images that are so time consuming and I think kind of aim me in the wrong direction in my life. Always looking for the most creative, most artistic, most original of other people's work and not enough time spent on my own.
That said I have been looking into more picture oriented medium like Pintrest or Tumblr, something faster and not as time consuming that I can just pin or link and be done with it.
Meanwhile you can
and maybe I'll see you again soon!

Wedding Wednesday: Random Whites
A unique sleeved and collared wedding dress. I love it because it's reminiscent of something slightly colonial and you don't see something like this very often. It's also modest!
Seen here.
These paper lace envelopes also recall a bygone, once romantic era.
It's a DIY seen here.
Although paper lace is more Victorian and the dress more colonial I think they both sort of work together in a historic sense. They both recall forgotten details of another historical era.

Granny square mania
This last picture that appeared in yesterday's post got me thinking about crochet.

Granny stripe blanket, fun!...
Granny squares from le Purl Bee...
And my favorite single granny square blanket...
I've made a couple of giant granny square blankets and every single time there is even a break in temperature I want to get my hooks out!

Found: Grown up chalkboards
When I was a kid my mom bought me a chalkboard that I must admit was all the rage whenever my pals came over. All they wanted to do was play with it and it was fun for me for like 5 minutes because I'd think "It's just a chalkboard..." Maybe the caché was lost on me because I had it all the time.
Now I'm in my mid 20's and I still don't yet have a style that I would call sophisticated or grown-up by any means but I like these chalk and corkboards that are all grown up.

Window Shopping Expedition: Little Odd Forest
I just discovered this new (to me) shop. I'm most impressed by the fact that this was a one woman operation!
Little Odd Forest has cute, whimsical, forest-inspired goods, right up my alley.

Wedding Wednesday: Just Desserts tables
Seen HERE!!!
I am in love with these awesome dessert tables!
This color palette is right up my alley and I looove the creamy white wash furniture.
Did you spot that ruffle cake in the middle there? (I love me some ruffle cake.)
I also think this cake is a breeze to make and with a small tweak of the colors would be at home in the above set up.

The curtain is actually lengths of ribbon. I have a curtain like this in the bedroom, only instead of ribbon I made it by cutting strips of fabric in turquoise, lavender and apple green, I'll show you some time...

I think this tea station is so very English.

These last pictures don't really go with the above theme (another tweak of the colors) except for the fact that it's another nice array and I guess the theme should be "nice array dessert tables".

Amazing Quilts
Seen here, I can't get over these quilts!
I love the layout of this kite one...
They're kind of storybook inspired, not the first one so much but these two...
