Flower Friday: Creative Gift Wrap

Gorgeous gift wrapping idea seen here.

Fall in Texas is always a long time coming and appears around November if we're lucky.  But with all the pumpkin goodness showing up since last week and TODAY being the first truly rainy dreary day since summer started, it's the most fall weather we're going to have for now (at a downright balmy 73°!) and I am totally craving this.

New Dress A Day

Here's a cute story with a cute concept.
Blogger Marissa Lynch has set about transforming thrift store finds in to wearable fashion.
The constraints: one dress, one day, spend only $1 a day.
Click on over to her blog to see how with a little bit of sewing and ingenuity she transforms ugly muumuus and such into wearable outfits.

Discovered Links: DIY Home Decorating Ideas

I just discovered this new website today and I love it!

Handcrafter Amber Dusick bought her 1950's ranch style house and shares how they mostly did everything themselves on her decorating website.
For me this site is worth a second closer look and these are only a few of the projects I'm already itching to try out.

Victorian Cottage

Wow!  Check out this Victorian style cottage...
Personally I can't get enough of those books!
If you flip through the pictures you can see it is actually a redo of this tiny little shack.
It's very inspiring though.  It proves you don't have to have loads of money to make your dreams come true, even if those dreams are of the slightly more frivolous and girly variety.
