Wedding Wednesday: Just Desserts tables

I am in love with these awesome dessert tables!
This color palette is right up my alley and I looove the creamy white wash furniture.

The curtain is actually lengths of ribbon.  I have a curtain like this in the bedroom, only instead of ribbon I made it by cutting strips of fabric in turquoise, lavender and apple green, I'll show you some time...

Did you spot that ruffle cake in the middle there?  (I love me some ruffle cake.)

    

I think this tea station is so very English.

I also think this cake is a breeze to make and with a small tweak of the colors would be at home in the above set up.

These last pictures don't really go with the above theme (another tweak of the colors) except for the fact that it's another nice array and I guess the theme should be "nice array dessert tables".

Window Shopping Expedition

From today's window shopping spree, which are all of course out of budget.
Wouldn't you love to fall asleep in this forest canopy bed (from here)?

Cute fall/winter hat that I won't be able to wear until at least December-ish from here.

I could still wear this dreamy ruffly dress long into fall since I live in Texas.  From here also.

Ruffly and ombre shower curtain (a double whammy for me) from here.  (Maybe I can use this as a starting point for making one?)

Hmm I guess I'm still on sort of a ruffle kick!

I have been on a ruffle kick for quite some time.  

It all started when I began my quest for the perfect ruffle skirt.  My specs: slightly longer than knee length, preferably black, preferably uneven layers not unlike flower petals, not hideously unflattering...

Obviously this quest is based on a very specific skirt I once saw that was unfortunately too short (everything is too short for me since I am tall.)

However I recently came across this ruffly apron tutorial and methinks if I can dare make that apron, I can dare make it into a skirt, and if I can dare make it into a skirt I may dare make it into the ever elusive skirt of my dreams.
